FOOD & WINE AND LOCAL PRODUCTS

The ‘Strada del vino e dell’Olio Costa degli Etruschi’ (The Wine and Olive Oil Route of the Etruscan Coast) welcomes you to a land of hills, sea and ancient villages, once the cradle of Etruscan civilization. Here is where Sassicaia wine is produced, which has become a symbol of the Tuscan coast, among the most prestigious wines in the world.

Visiting the wineries along the road you will taste exciting red wines with unique character and strong personality, fresh white wines, intense and fragrant raisin wines.

You will experience how these wines blend with the other products of our land: extra virgin olive oil, honey and apicultural products, wood oven baked bread, cheeses, cold meat cuts, game, preserves…

Wine cellar visits need to be booked in advance.

Wine Cellar Baratti : The Poggio Rosso Estate spreads out over an area of approximately 20 hectares (almost 49.5 acres).

The vineyards, planted with both white and red grapes, cover around 6 hectares (almost 15 acres) whilst just over 2 hectares (almost 5 acres) are set aside for our olive trees.

Around 6 hectares on the eastern side of the estate are covered in pine trees, with the park and green Mediterranean brush beyond that. The main villa and an old lemon grove complete the estate.
